Resort Location: A new addition to the resort hotel family, Bay Lake Tower is the younger sibling to Disney’s Contemporary Resort. As a result, there is no resort hotel that lies closer to the front gate of the Magic Kingdom. In fact, if you chose to forego the monorail ride from the Contemporary, you could walk to the front gate of the Magic Kingdom in a few short moments.
Restaurants: A catwalk (“Skybridge”) allows guests to move freely from the Tower to the Contemporary. Doing so also gives access to the Contemporary’s restaurants which include Chef Mickey’s, Contempo Café, and The California Grill! The first of these offering great character dining; the last of these offering a memorable dining experience!
Nightlife: Though it doesn’t offer the same nightlife as Boardwalk, Bay Lake Tower offers possibly the most unique nighttime experience – Wishes Rooftop Fireworks Display. Outside the “Top of the World Lounge” on the 16th floor, guests can see a view of the Wishes Fireworks show that are unique and spectacular. Even for those who’ve seen the show too many times to count, this vantage point provides a new and fresh way to witness a memorable event.
